I see mac-11 uppers for sale at:

  1. Aves
  2. Parts Dispensed
  3. JC Arms
  4. MasterPiece Arms

Since MPA only has the side charging upper immediately available, can I purchase a side charging bolt from another vendor ? I’m guessing MAC-11 is a specification as well, so parts should be interchangeable.
If not, whats the opinion of the complete uppers from Aves ?

    I had issues with my aves upper, but I don’t think the issue was the upper at all, just the printed feed ramp on the glock mag db9 lower.

    The aves upper fires good, but mac uppers don’t contain the feeding mechanism so your mileage may vary depending on the build. I’m not familiar with how the pwc9 feeds.

      Thanks for your input. In looking closer, I may just go with JC Arms build(8inch). In looking at the PWC-9 README, I dont see any reference to the feed ramp. Maybe @nightalliance@forum.guncadindex.com will chime in.

        There is no feed ramp. MPA has bolts available. JC Arms feels the best tbh but I like left side charging. My upper is some old maf chimes rn.

          We made different height mag releases to lock the mag up in the right spot for it to feed nicely. Some need more or less. Mine needed +.25. That, in conjunction with the location of the mag, allowed the timing to work properly without a feed ramp.

            all good to know… ill be back in touch once i start the build. eta 1-1.5wks just wanted to get some feedback first before deciding if the build is currently worth it or not… in the sense of not too many tweaks are needed to get the thing to work.

            i already have two unseen builds complete in the past 7 days…

    Idk for sure with mpa but I bought a MAF upper and bolt and a year later aves had a sale on their mac bolt so I bought one of theirs. the MAF upper works fine with both of them. I would assume the same is true for all of them but I wouldn’t put it past any company to make their shit proprietary if they knew they could.
