I’m trying to source pins for a fgc-9 build given I live in a gun law restrictive country it’s touch and go even getting parts via the mail. So far I’ve been able to find the springs via the links in the parts list but can’t find a fire control pin can anyone tell me the dimensions of it so I can hopefully source another type of pin to do the job

Hammer and trigger pins are nominally 0.154 inches. It’s not too difficult to take a 4mm dowel, chuck it in a drill and spin it against a flat file to bring the diameter down 0.1mm.

Thanks for that I was thinking this would be the solution. The grooves in the pin are not essential than ?

The grooves keep the pins from “walking” so you want them, but dimensions don’t have to be precise. On the trigger pin the grooves should be just inside the receiver so the legs of the hammer spring can seat in the grooves to lock the pin in place. On the hammer pin the groove is dead center and a detent spring in the hammer locks it in. You’ll see pins with all three grooves but that’s just so they’re interchangeable.

Thanks again you’ve sorted that for me I think I’ll end up using 4mm rod for all pins and marking the spring location and cutting a small groove to suit
