Side project I’m working on. Trying to keep them authentic looking. Front sight is finished. The post is SCS-able and I’ve made a blitzkrieg style alternate post as well. Commercially available posts are not interchangeable as I had to move the M3 slot down a few mm.
The rear sight poses more of a challenge. Drum is functional and is basically the same design that the MP22 build uses but I’m still figuring out how to make windage adjustable as there is not a lot of material there to work with. HK sells the bolts individually for these adjustments but $5 each. May try some heat-serts and some set screws to achieve the same result while not forking over $20 minimum for two bolts. For now I’m using a fixed version of the rear sight with the rotating drum.

Looks nice, I’ve always been a fan of these sights.
The T.I.T.S. iron sights have a windage adjustment that uses an m3 or 4 volt, captured nut, and a locknut. I’ve used this set up in a different set of sights and it worked well and didn’t require special hardware. Perhaps singing similar could be adapted.
How’d you get elevation on the drum?

This was solid advice. Took the T.I.T.S. adjustment concept and applied it to the rear sight. We have windage! Now to revisit the drum elevation…

https://odysee.com/@theOtherSig:a/hk_sights_at_home:f This is a similar project. Maybe you can use something from him to improve your version and finally release it?
I’ve taken a look at those. It looks like only the front sight is adjustable, so its completely opposite to what I am making.
no, both are adjustable. Front + Back. I have printed it out now and it works fine. But i still want to test your version too. :)
I’ll have to take a closer look then cause I missed that. Thanks
The rear sight on the one you linked is not adjustable for windage and elevation. Only the front. So, as I said, opposite of what I’m going for. The front sight for mine is fixed and the rear will have the adjustability to mimic HKs design.
i want to be a beta tester. :)
